How Adams Oshiomhole reveals who would buy NNPC if Atiku Abubakar emerges as president
Adams Oshiomhole, the national president of All Progressives Congress, APC has argued that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Popular Democratic Party, PDP follows the capitalist agenda of the International Monetary Fund to sell the NNPC if it emerges as president.
Remember that Atiku Abubakar publicly announced that it would sell Nigeria’s National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, to some investors as part of its plan to reduce the responsibilities of the state oil company for the benefit of ordinary Nigerians.
Reacting, Adams Oshiomhole, while speaking in an interview on television channels, said that Atiku must be planning to sell NNPC to Westerners since no Nigerian can afford the government’s oil company.
He said the former vice president could float the naira and make a dollar equal to N1,000.
According to AfricPro News, Adams Oshiomhole said: “When you hear Atiku say ‘I will privatize the NNPC even if they kill me’, I do not even know why I had to add that … Who will kill him? He does not talk to you because you do not… how many Nigerians have money to buy NNPC.
“He’s talking to his Western audience, when he says he’s going to make it float, he already knows whose language it is, whose values are his parrots, that’s the IMF’s agenda, he wants to float Naira.”
“So, if in Atiku’s words, floating the dollar means $ 1 to N1,000, then, do you think you do not know what you’re talking about? There are countries that want Nigeria remains perpetually underdeveloped. “
